Megalithic remains

The word “megalith” simply means big stone and some of these stones are enormous. Their purpose has now been obscured by the mists of time and it’s quite possible that they all had totally different uses.

They have all been significantly eroded to the extent that they no longer look anything like they did when first erected. However, their position in the landscape has not changed and that seems to be as important a feature as anything else.
