The people who built and used the megalithic monuments also left evidence of their dwelling places, some of which are amazingly well preserved.
These buildings show just how sophisticated these people were in their ideas and how well they had mastered the technologies available to them.
It would be unlikely that present day people could construct anything much better using the same materials.
